Creating a valid simple design is always more difficult than creating a complex one.
As wiser men than me always say, you should work on subtraction, so that’s what I did with Journeyballs user interface. Here is the new main screen revamped UI. The background depends on the last played level, and the “quit” button is automatically removed on iOS (since, as the wise Mr. Fabian The Spoon Smith reported, it’s not allowed). I like it, for now.

I just can’t get warmed up with the harsh green on the play button. Freaks me out all the time…
Everything looks so harmonic and peaceful and then this color came in
edit: ugh, a captcha…..
A green hater! Industrialist!
Personally, I like how it “breaks” the harmony of colors (except on green backgrounds) and pops out. But maybe you’re right and it’s too much. Will definitely try other colors.
P.S. ok, captcha removed. But I have to find something else to avoid super-spammingness.
yeh you are the artsy guy there. im just all for harmony and everything else on the screen works so wonderful together……and then……there comed the slimer green.
no green hater !
